Our Story

Established in 2012, Ideal Millwork is built on decades of craftsmanship and experience. The company’s origins trace back to the 1970s, when founder Greg Schwartz first developed his skills while helping his father construct their family cabin on Lake James.

With years of leadership in millwork operations across the mid-Michigan region, Greg launched Ideal Millwork to offer high-quality custom cabinetry, countertops, and architectural millwork. Today, Greg works alongside his son Nick, continuing a tradition of precision, quality, and personalized service.
